Volunteer

Volunteering with Crisis Housing Solutions is a fun, hands-on opportunity for individuals and groups to support CHS’s mission by building skills, relationships, and communities. No experience is required!

Hands on Site Work – in a variety of on-site projects that may include painting, landscaping, light carpentry projects, tiling and many more.

If you’re interested in volunteering for construction at a build site, please contact Carrie at carrie@crisishousingsolutions.org for a volunteer application, safety manual, and build site location.

  • Student community projects
  • Group projects/work days (corporate, religious groups, etc.)

Advocate

Crisis Housing Solutions is committed to helping promote and enable individuals to have a safe, affordable place to live. If you support affordable housing there are a several forms of advocacy and activities you can assist with, including:

  • Writing a letter to your elected official asking they support funding for services that help individuals and families secure affordable housing in South Florida.
  • Writing a letter to the editor of your local newspaper
  • Attending a town hall meeting hosted by your representatives
  • Following Crisis Housing Solutions on Facebook and share the great work we’re doing

Become A Virtual Home Builder

Your gift can help us create a wonderful home for individuals and families in South Florida. The following is a list of items needed to complete an average rehab project:

$35 = Roof Shingles
$50 = Low Flow Toilet
$75 = Window
$100 = Kitchen Sink

Recurring Gifts

Become a monthly donor and help families in need of housing assistance in South Florida.
